I just recently moved to Columbus from Chicago, where I taught at an all-boys high school on the Southwest side of the city. I have very strong interests in problem-based learning, restorative justice, and standards-based grading. I have a B.S. in Mathematics from Loyola University Chicago and an M.Ed. in Teaching & Learning from DePaul University. Before that, I lived about 50 miles west of Chicago in a small town called Batavia. In my spare time I like to spend time outdoors backpacking, camping, and canoeing. I also enjoy working with wood, restoring an old '73 Honda motorcycle, playing music, and running with my dog Maggie.
